Soccer Recap: Philip Simmons Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Philip Simmons's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They never let the Woodland Wolverines get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. Considering Philip Simmons' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Their offense was hitting Woodland from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Maryn Baker led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Philip Simmons' win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-6-1. As for Woodland, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Philip Simmons is taking a road trip to face off against Academic Magnet at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Woodland, they will be playing at home against Gray Collegiate Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Gray Collegiate Academy will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Woodland surely won't give up without a fight.
