Basketball Game Preview: Itawamba Agricultural Indians vs. Smithville Seminoles

Having just played yesterday, the Itawamba Agricultural Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Smithville Seminoles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Itawamba Agricultural has given up an average of 58.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Thursday, Itawamba Agricultural lost to Okolona on the road by a 59-42 margin.

Meanwhile, Smithville entered their tilt with Mantachie on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They took down the Mustangs 58-40. While the Seminoles didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Smithville's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Itawamba Agricultural, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Everything went Itawamba Agricultural's way against Smithville in their previous meeting back in December of 2018, as Itawamba Agricultural made off with a 63-42 win. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Seminoles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
