Football Game Preview: C. Milton Wright Mustangs vs. Havre de Grace Warriors

The C. Milton Wright Mustangs are taking a road trip to square off against the Havre de Grace Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Monday, C. Milton Wright humbled Joppatowne with a 49-8 victory. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Mustangs just coasted through the last quarter.

C. Milton Wright's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Garrett Stiemke, who rushed for 100 yards and one score on only 12 carries. Another big playmaker for the Mustangs was Brandon Tolson, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Tolson, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Havre de Grace never let their opponents score on Friday. They breezed past Rising Sun to the tune of 42-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

C. Milton Wright now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Havre de Grace, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

C. Milton Wright suffered a grim 35-14 defeat to Havre de Grace in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Mustangs were down 28-7.
