Basketball Recap: Rangely Starts Season with Victory Against South Summit

Rangely gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 46-33 victory over the South Summit Wildcats.

Rangely's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aubrianna Tapia, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Tegan Behunin, who shot 63% from the field en route to 10 points in addition to six assists and six steals.

South Summit is on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Rangely has already played their next contest (against American Heritage), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for South Summit, they are taking a road trip to take on Carbon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
