Alessandro Martinez-Cabrera gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in February on Tuesday. Northgate had no answer to Martinez-Cabrera as he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). Martinez-Cabrera is becoming a predictor of Las Lomas's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is undefeated (and 3-6-1 when he doesn't).

Martinez-Cabrera's strong effort led Las Lomas over Northgate and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long.
