Baseball Recap: Parkview Takes a Loss

Parkview had lost 11 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 0-21 to make it 12. They came up short against the Central Bulldogs, falling 14-2. Surprisingly, this marked the Vikings' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

As for Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Central's part, the team relied heavily on Barrett Burns, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. Zachary Fox was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Central beat Parkview by a score of 14-2 on Wednesday.
