Mooreville had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victors by a 13-7 margin over the Yazoo County Panthers on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Troopers, who have now won 18 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Mooreville's sixth in a row) raised their record to 24-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Yazoo County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 21-12.

As of now, neither Mooreville nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
