Basketball Game Preview: Shadow Ridge Mustangs vs. Virgin Valley Bulldogs

The Shadow Ridge Mustangs and the Virgin Valley Bulldogs will round out the year against one another at at 2:20 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Shadow Ridge will head into Saturday's contest eager for some revenge after what happened against Basic: Shadow Ridge blew Basic out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Basic got their revenge. Shadow Ridge fell just short of Basic by a score of 49-46.

Meanwhile, Virgin Valley faced Bishop Gorman in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Virgin Valley came up short against Bishop Gorman, falling 70-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since December 15, 2023.

Shadow Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Virgin Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-4 record this season.

Shadow Ridge strolled past Virgin Valley in their previous meeting back in December of 2018 by a score of 53-39. Does Shadow Ridge have another victory up their sleeve, or will Virgin Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
