Football Game Preview: Carolina Forest Panthers vs. Conway Tigers

The Carolina Forest Panthers are taking a road trip to face off against the Conway Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Carolina Forest has six straight wins, Conway has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Carolina Forest really took it to Myrtle Beach for the full four quarters, racking up a 51-20 victory. Considering the Panthers have won seven contests by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Conway lost to Socastee on the road by a 38-19 margin on Friday.

Carolina Forest will need to focus on slowing down Makhai Canty, one of several Conway players who made an impact when they last played. He threw for 123 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also punched in one TD on the ground.

Conway's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Carolina Forest, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.

Everything came up roses for Carolina Forest against Conway in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 42-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
