Normal University has gone 7-2 against Sacred Heart-Griffin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Pioneers are taking a road trip to challenge the Cyclones at 7:00 p.m. Normal University is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 14 games.

Normal University can't be too worried about heading out to take on Sacred Heart-Griffin: they just beat Mahomet-Seymour at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. The Pioneers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Bulldogs on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pioneers have posted since September 12th.

Normal University had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-21, 15-7.

Meanwhile, Sacred Heart-Griffin was able to grind out a solid win over Jacksonville on Thursday, taking the game 2-0. The victory continues a trend for the Cyclones in their matchups with the Crimsons: they've now won five in a row.

Sacred Heart-Griffin easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-17.

Normal University's record is now 22-4. As for Sacred Heart-Griffin, their record now sits at 12-8.

Normal University was able to grind out a solid win over Sacred Heart-Griffin in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pioneers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
