Basketball Recap: Agua Fria Owls vs. Estrella Foothills Wolves
The Agua Fria Owls had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged Estrella Foothills out 54-51. The victory was just what Agua Fria needed coming off of a 72-52 loss in their prior contest.
Anthony Perez went supernova for Agua Fria, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Perez has scored all season. Xavier Daniels was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Agua Fria's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-17. As for Estrella Foothills, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-19.
Agua Fria will take on the Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Bradshaw Mountain presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Owls in Arizona (the Bears are ranked 94th, while the Owls are ranked 246th). Estrella Foothills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
