Perry-Lecompton and Royal Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Kaws will take on the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Royal Valley took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Perry-Lecompton, who comes in off a win.

Perry-Lecompton lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Riley County, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's matchup. The Kaws blew past the Falcons 10-4 on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Kaws considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Perry-Lecompton let Macie Corcoran and Autumn Flory run wild. Corcoran went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI, while Flory went 3-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most runs Corcoran has posted since back in March. Devin Aldrich was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Perry-Lecompton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Royal Valley lost 11-3 to Sabetha on Monday.

Perry-Lecompton moved to 7-15 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Royal Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Everything went Perry-Lecompton's way against Royal Valley in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Perry-Lecompton made off with a 17-10 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Kaws since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
