Basketball Game Preview: Pendleton Bulldogs vs. Stephens County Indians + Official Tickets

The Pendleton Bulldogs are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against the Stephens County Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pendleton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Pendleton is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 74-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wade Hampton on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (61), the Bulldogs still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Stephens County beat Oglethorpe County 67-60 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Pendleton's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5. Those home defeats can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.4 points over those games. As for Stephens County, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Pendleton came up short against Stephens County in their previous meeting back in November of 2019, falling 73-60. Thankfully for the Bulldogs, Kenny Colwell (who shot 67% from beyond the arc to rack up 20 points along with six boards and three steals) won't be suiting up this time.
