Softball Recap: Tampa Bay Tech Drops Season-High Score on Armwood

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tampa Bay Tech). They blew past the Armwood Hawks 29-14 on Tuesday. While the Titans didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Tampa Bay Tech got a massive performance out of Jaida T, who scored six runs and stole a base while getting on base in all six of her plate appearances. T is also on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Taliyah H, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with six RBI, three runs, and two doubles.

Tampa Bay Tech was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .519. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .424 or higher in three consecutive games.

Tampa Bay Tech's record now sits at 4-1. As for Armwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Tampa Bay Tech will be playing in front of their home fans against Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Freedom has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.67 runs per game on average), something Tampa Bay Tech will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Armwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Robinson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Armwood is facing Robinson at the right time seeing as Robinson is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
