Volleyball Recap: Olivia Heck and Macey Chupp Secure Win for West Forsyth + How To Watch

West Forsyth won the last time they faced Forsyth Central, and Adeline Wieler did her part to make sure it happened again. The Wolverines came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 3-1 on Thursday for which the team can thank Wieler, who had 26 digs and two aces. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.

West Forsyth had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-11, 25-12, 25-23.

West Forsyth was led to victory by Macey Chupp and Olivia Heck. Chupp had seven digs and two aces, while Heck had 11 assists. That's the most assists Heck has posted since back in August.

They weren't the only good server: West Forsyth was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They are 7-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Forsyth Central's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sydney Carr, who had 11 digs and one assist.

The win got West Forsyth back to even at 16-16. As for Forsyth Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-15.

West Forsyth will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Westminster at 5:30 p.m. on the 30th. As for Forsyth Central, they will take on Pace Academy at 9:30 a.m. on the 27th.
