Softball Game Preview: Bothell/Inglemoor Cougars vs. Lake Washington Kangaroos

Bothell/Inglemoor is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Wednesday. They are headed away from home for the first time to take on the Lake Washington Kangaroos at 5:00 p.m. Bothell/Inglemoor will be strutting in after a win while Lake Washington will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row dating back to last season, Bothell/Inglemoor turned things around against Shorewood on Tuesday. They skirted past the Stormrays 1-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted since March 20, 2024.

Meanwhile, Lake Washington didn't have quite enough to beat Shorewood on Friday and fell 8-7.

Malia Donohue and Elise Roe stepped up to the plate in a big way. Donohue scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4, while Roe went 1-for-5 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Bobbie Hagerman, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Lake Washington dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Bothell/Inglemoor, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
