Soccer Recap: Eastside Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Eastside duked it out with Flowery Branch on Thursday. The Eagles fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 2-1. Eastside were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Flowery Branch apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Eastside has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Flowery Branch, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Eastside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Flowery Branch, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cedar Shoals at 7:30 p.m. on the 14th.
