Mother McAuley had won two straight road games and Lucy Maloney did her part to make it three on Thursday. The Mighty Macs walked away with a 2-0 win over the IC Catholic Prep Knights with plenty of help from Maloney, who had 23 digs and two assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 20 games she's played.

Mother McAuley easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-12.

Mother McAuley's victory bumped their record up to 24-3. As for IC Catholic Prep, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-17.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Mother McAuley will take on St. Francis at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for IC Catholic Prep, they will square off against Timothy Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
