Baseball Recap: Carmel's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

It's playoff time, and Carmel had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the Willow Glen Rams 3-2 on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Padres, who have now won three contests in a row.

Matt Maxon made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits (and not a single walk). Maxon was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Carmel's victory bumped their record up to 20-10. As for Willow Glen, they moved to 23-7 with that loss, which also ended their 13-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Carmel nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
