Basketball Recap: Appleton North Comes Up Short

If Appleton North was feeling good fresh off their 79-58 takedown of Hortonville last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Appleton North Lightning lost to the West De Pere Phantoms on the road by a 63-46 margin on Tuesday. The game marked the Lightning's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Appleton North's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for West De Pere, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Appleton North will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kimberly at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for West De Pere, they will take on Green Bay East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in West De Pere's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
