Soccer Recap: LaBelle Takes a Loss

LaBelle lost against Gateway back in November, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls came up short against the Gateway Eagles, falling 4-1. That's two games in a row now that the Cowboys/Cowgirls have lost by exactly three goals.

Their goal came courtesy of Zaiden Ruiz, who's now up to four this season.

This is the second loss in a row for LaBelle and nudges their season record down to 5-5. As for Gateway, their win bumped their record up to 7-3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. LaBelle will venture away from home to square off against Palmetto Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Gateway, they are taking a road trip to take on Canterbury at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Canterbury will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Gateway surely won't give up without a fight.
