Softball Recap: Montevideo Thunderhawks vs. Benson
Montevideo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They lost 12-3 to Benson. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Montevideo of the 11-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture on Thursday.
For Benson's part, Presley Nygaard was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). Nygaard was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
