Softball Recap: 12 Straight Home Victories for Rowan County

Rowan County never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past the East Carter Raiders 1-0. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Not much got past Kassi Perkins, who gave up just two hits to keep East Carter off the board.

On the hitting side, Rowan County's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Diamond Wills, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Malana Hamm was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Rowan County pushed their record up to 23-6 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for East Carter, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 26-6.
