Westminster Christian entered their tilt with MICDS on Monday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Westminster Christian won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 26-24, 25-17.

Westminster Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rachel Buchanan, who had 12 digs and three assists. Sophia Arana was another key player, getting 13 assists.

When it comes to explaining why MICDS lost, don't look at Kendall Lay. Despite the final result, she had 23 assists and seven digs. Lay has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more assists the last four times she's played.
