Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Inlet Grove). They blew past the Sports Leadership & Management Cobras 18-3 on Thursday.

The team relied heavily on Kashif Montgomery, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. He also got a hit, marking his first of the season. Tyrique Alty was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Inlet Grove always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .733. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Inlet Grove's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Coming up, Inlet Grove will face off against Lincoln Park Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Greyhounds have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.93 runs per game on average), something the Hurricanes will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they will challenge Highlands Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
