Basketball Recap: Paden City Comes Up Short

Paden City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 65-26 loss at the hands of the Gilmer County Titans. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-14.

Paden City's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Gilmer County, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-12.

Paden City will be playing at home against Hundred at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hundred knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Paden City likes a good challenge. As for Gilmer County, they will take on Roane County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
