After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Poquoson, Jamestown was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with an 8-4 win over the Lafayette Rams. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won four in a row.

Grace Hughes was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other batting news, Jamestown got a massive performance out of Ava Cramer, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
