Volleyball Recap: St. Agnes Academy Comes Up Short

St. Agnes Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Lutheran South Academy Pioneers, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered since November 9, 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21, 25-14.

Lutheran South Academy found their leader in sophomore Charlie Marsico, who had 13 digs and four assists. Megan Schwanbeck also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

St. Agnes Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Lutheran South Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-1.

St. Agnes Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on FBCHA at 5:30 p.m. on September 8. As for Lutheran South Academy, they are taking a road trip to square off against Foster at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
