Softball Recap: Webb Spartans vs. Oliver Springs Bobcats

Webb started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Oliver Springs. They fell just short of the Oliver Springs Bobcats by a score of 13-12 on Thursday.

Jeneva Mitchell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored four runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Bryant, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

On Oliver Springs' side, the team relied heavily on Layla Alcorn, who went 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs, and a double. Emmeline Patton was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Webb's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Oliver Springs, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
