 Fairview is 3-0 against General McLane since May of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Friday. The Fairview Tigers will head out on the road to  square off against  the General McLane Lancers at 4:00  p.m. Fairview is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5  runs per game  this season.
 In what's become a running theme this season, Fairview gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Northwestern as Fairview made off with  an  11-1 win. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Fairview.
 The team  relied heavily on  Aari Fox, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3.  Luke Rzodkiewicz was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Meanwhile,  it may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but General McLane ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  team sidled past Meadville  4-3.
 General McLane's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Jackson Kiser, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Andrew Gula, who  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with  an  RBI.
 Fairview pushed their record up to 13-3 with that  victory, which was their third straight  at home. As for General McLane,  the  win  got them back to even at 9-9.
 Fairview was able to grind out a solid  victory over General McLane in their previous meeting  back in May of 2023, winning  13-10. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fairview since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
