Baseball Game Preview: Huntley Red Raiders vs. Antioch Sequoits

The Huntley Red Raiders will challenge the Antioch Sequoits at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Huntley beat Streamwood 10-6. The victory continues a trend for the Red Raiders in their matchups with the Sabres: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Antioch came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Panthers 3-1.

Antioch got a great performance from Jack Majerowski as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. What's more, Majerowski posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024.

At the plate, Nathan Yeager was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.

Antioch pushed their record up to 21-10-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Huntley, their victory bumped their record up to 18-14.
