It was a good run, but Illini Bluffs unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Canton Little Giants by a score of 8-7. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Little Giants from their previous meeting back in April of 2019.

Illini Bluffs' defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Canton, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Illini Bluffs will venture away from home to face off against Tremont at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Canton, they will welcome East Peoria at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Little Giants 2.6, the Raiders 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
