Volleyball Recap: Racine Park Takes a Loss

Racine Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Pius XI Catholic Popes. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Popes from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Racine Park's offense was headlined by Arabella Steberl and Kaleah Allen, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Madison Gomez and her nine assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Pius XI Catholic was led to victory by Zoey Bucio and Lilly Walsh. Bucio had ten digs, while Walsh had four digs and two aces. Bucio has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played.

Racine Park's loss dropped their record down to 9-19. As for Pius XI Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 17-18.

Coming up, Racine Park will welcome Indian Trail at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pius XI Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
