Recap: Freedom Patriots vs. Alexander Central Cougars
After some red-hot offensive attacks in their last four games, The Freedom Patriots finally came back down to earth on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 35-7 loss at the hands of Alexander Central. Freedom was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Alexander Central apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Freedom's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kaden Davis, who threw for 155 yards and a touchdown.
Among those leading the charge was Sawyer Chapman-Mays, who rushed for 172 yards and two touchdowns. Chapman-Mays is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Braydon Rowe also helped out as he racked up 113 rushing yards.
Freedom's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Alexander Central, their victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-5.
Freedom does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Alexander Central will head out on the road to face off against Butler at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Butler is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last nine games.
