Preview: Davis Darts vs. American Fork Cavemen
The Davis Darts will head out on the road to face off against the American Fork Cavemen at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Davis will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
Davis has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 21 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Cyprus 53-19 at home. That looming 53-19 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Davis yet this season.
It was another big night for Kate Richards, who scored 13 points. The contest was her third in a row with at least ten points. Kate Willard was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, American Fork didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Riverton on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 47-41 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for American Fork.
Davis pushed their record up to 6-0 with that victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. As for American Fork, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season.
Davis might still be hurting after the 64-40 defeat they got from American Fork in their previous meeting back in February of 2017. Can Davis avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
