Football Recap: Jasmin Chamchuen's Menacing Defense Leads Burroughs over Immaculate Heart

The Burroughs Bears came out on top against the Immaculate Heart Pandas on Monday by a score of 20-6 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

Karisma Mendez looked great while leading her team to the win, throwing for 177 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also punching in one TD on the ground.

Burroughs didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jasmin Chamchuen, Kelsey Vivas, and Isabella Estrada picked up one apiece.

Burroughs is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.2 points on average over those games. As for Immaculate Heart, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
