Carrollton and Pecatonica squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Carrollton had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 63-45 to the Pecatonica Indians. The Hawks' loss signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.

Carrollton lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Lauren Flowers, who almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine boards. That was a full 40% of Carrollton's points, marking the seventh time in a row Flowers has posted more than a third of the team's points. Hayden Mcmurtrie was another key player, putting up ten points.

Carrollton's defeat dropped their record down to 30-8. As for Pecatonica, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 19 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 32-6 record this season.
