Taconic came out on top against Agawam on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Thunder put the hurt on the Brownies with a sharp 10-3 win. This was payback for the Thunder, who suffered a 19-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Cheyann Goddard made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Toni Ahoussi was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Kylie Duhamel was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Taconic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive matches.

The victory got Taconic back to even at 8-8. As for Agawam, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7.

Taconic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Agawam, they will take on Greenfield at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
