Basketball Recap: Holy Cross Crusaders vs. All Saints Episcopal School Patriots

Holy Cross was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 64-29 loss at the hands of the All Saints Episcopal School Patriots. The Crusaders were down 46-23 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

All Saints Episcopal School found their leader in sophomore Lauren Brashear, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards. Brashear has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Hannah Owen, who posted eight points in addition to nine boards and three steals.

Holy Cross' defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for All Saints Episcopal School, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-14.

Holy Cross will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on All Saints Episcopal School at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. All Saints Episcopal School has already played their next matchup, a 47-25 victory against Holy Cross Catholic Academy on the 14th.
