Softball Recap: Spring Grove Comes Up Short

Spring Grove lost against Rushford-Peterson back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lions came up short against the Trojans, falling 11-3. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Izabel Kaufmann made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Jada Strinmoen also deserves some recognition as she hit her first doubles of the season.

Spring Grove now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Rushford-Peterson, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Spring Grove will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lyle/Pacelli at 4:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Rushford-Peterson, they will challenge Wabasha-Kellogg at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
