Soccer Recap: Nandua Comes Up Short

There was early excitement for Nandua after they claimed the first goal on Wednesday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Poquoson Islanders by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Nandua of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Nandua has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Poquoson, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6-1.

Looking ahead, Nandua will head out on the road to challenge Arcadia at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Nandua will be up against Arcadia's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.13 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Poquoson, they will host Warhill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
