It was close, but on Friday the Gallatin Green Wave sidestepped the Franklin Admirals for a 23-20 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Green Wave.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Gallatin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jackson Stroup, who threw for 275 yards and two TDs. A healthy portion of that aerial production (105 yards to be exact) went to Ontarius 'Oni' Scott, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Gallatin didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Franklin to a completion percentage of just 44.4%. The Green Wave weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 69.2%.

When it comes to explaining why Franklin lost, don't look at Joseph Panaia. Despite the final result, he rushed for 163 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Miles Putnam was another key player, picking up 130 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Gallatin's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Franklin, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gallatin will host Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Franklin, they will welcome Shelbyville Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Admirals' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
