Baseball Recap: Sloan-Hendrix Comes Up Short

Sloan-Hendrix came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 9-1 to Salem. The loss continues a trend for Sloan-Hendrix in their meetings with Salem: they've now lost five in a row.

Sloan-Hendrix saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Corey Sullens, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. That's the most hits Sullens has posted since back in March of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Sloan-Hendrix fell to 2-1. As for Salem, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-2.

Looking ahead, Sloan-Hendrix will host Corning at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Salem, they are taking a road trip to take on Yellville-Summit at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
