After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Marlboro Academy, Dillon Christian was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over the Lee Academy Cavaliers. For Dillon Christian, this counts as revenge for the 14-4 loss Lee Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2023.
Jackson Outlar was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. Outlar has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Outlar was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and a triple.
In other batting news, Joshua Brooks was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
