Baseball Recap: Mount Michael Benedictine Comes Up Short

Mount Michael Benedictine lost against Westview back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Knights came up short against the Wolverines, falling 16-10. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Barett Sykora was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Nathan Bluvas was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances.

Mount Michael Benedictine's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Westview, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mount Michael Benedictine will challenge rival Skutt Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Westview is set to square off against their familiar foe Lincoln Southeast at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
