Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Isaac Sherrod and Nathan Suchovsky Lead Trinity Christian to Victory

Trinity Christian hadn't done well against David Emanuel Academy recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Trinity Christian came out on top against the David Emanuel Academy Eagles by a score of 60-52. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Trinity Christian considering their 25-point performance the match before.

Trinity Christian was led to victory by Nathan Suchovsky and Isaac Sherrod. Suchovsky posted 26 points, while Sherrod earned 23 points. Those 23 points gave Sherrod a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tim Thompson, who put up six points.

Despite the loss, David Emanuel Academy still got an impressive performance from Peyton Lee, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. Lee continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Fields, who had eight points and six rebounds.

Trinity Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.2 points per game. As for David Emanuel Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Trinity Christian will head out on the road to take on Edmund Burke Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for David Emanuel Academy, they and Glascock County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played.
