Basketball Recap: Forest Park Now 17-1 over Last 18 Games

Forest Park won the last time they faced Bessemer and things went their way on Saturday too. The Forest Park Trojans came out on top against the Bessemer Speedboys by a score of 53-42. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Speedboys are ranked 297th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Forest Park has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.1 points over those games. The loss snapped Bessemer's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 16-11 record.

Coming up, Forest Park will take on Pickford in a tournament on Tuesday. Pickford will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Forest Park surely won't give up without a fight. Bessemer does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
