Basketball Recap: Melrose Comes Up Short

Melrose lost against Stoneham back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Melrose Red Raiders fell 51-43 to the Stoneham Spartans.

Melrose dropped their record down to 5-12 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Stoneham, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-6.

Coming up, Melrose will welcome Watertown at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Stoneham, they are taking a road trip to face off against Burlington at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
