Covington had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.7 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 36-33 victory over the Millington Central Trojans. 36 seems to be a good number for the Chargers as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Covington now has a winning record of 14-13. As for Millington Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-11.
