Recap: Dolgeville Blue Devils vs. Tioga Tigers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Dolgeville Blue Devils can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Tioga on Friday, falling 56-12. Dolgeville's loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.
Tioga got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Drew Macumber out in front who rushed for 47 yards and two touchdowns. Macumber is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ousmane Duncanson, who rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown.
Dolgeville's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Tioga, they pushed their record up to 12-0 with that win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Dolgeville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Tioga is on the road again on Friday and play against Clymer Central/Sherman/Panama at 3:00 p.m. on November 24th. Clymer Central/Sherman/Panama is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
